For 1:1 appointments, yes. I am in-network with local PA Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Aetna, and Cigna. Insurance does not cover meal plans.
All major credit cards as well as HSA/FSA cards.
No. I have found that when clients pay upfront for services, they are more committed and less likely to fail.
I do not require a referral however each person's insurance plan is unique. Please check with your insurance plan to see if they require one for nutritional services. Some request prior approval.
No. I would love for you to bring in any recent blood work but we can proceed with out it.
I am located in Cranberry Township, PA but am currently only seeing clients via telehealth. Telehealth sessions are done through a HIPAA secure platform.
Yes. I use a HIPAA compliant platform called Practice Better where clients have their own portal access to forms, handouts, protocols, and it's where video consults take place. This is a convenient way to meet as you can do so in the comfort of your own home or office and there is no worry about traffic or inclement weather to deal with. If using insurance, the first appointment must be in-person and not all plans cover virtual/telehealth or phone appointments.
There are no set number of appointments required and it's up to each person to determine what is right for them. Many use insurance and each insurance plan is different: some allow unlimited nutritional services while others are limited to 3 visits per calendar year.
I do recommend two weeks between appointments so the provided material and set goals can be read, implemented, and positive wins & any challenges can be noted. It really depends on what each person is suffering from and how quickly their body responds as to how many sessions may be suggested. Some feel comfortable with one session, some want ongoing accountability, and others come every 2 weeks for a period of time before spacing or phasing out appointments when they feel their best.
